Dress for Praise Dance Success!     

  Dance in worship is a powerful ministry that communicates in visual way.  The correct apparel can enhance or destroy your spiritual message. 

Here Are Three Important Tips:

• Design & Colors of your Attire should compliment the Musical Selection
• Your Attire must allow for freedom of Movement
• The Outfit Should Be Modest!  (It’s about the Lord…not what we are Wearing).

Making your Outfits:

If you have a seamstress!  Bravo!

Pray over the design you have in mind . Ask The Lord To Assist You with Your Attire Preparation.

Fabrics and designs should be selected with the entire group in mind ( If yours is a Troupe of more than One)

Consider Selections to compliment all shapes & sizes

It’s easier to add to a collection of matching outfits! 

PATTERNS:

Spend sometime in a fabric store……….check out the Religious Character sections

Obtain a variety of patterns - you can mix & match.

E.g.:  Use the skirt from one pattern….take the top from another.

This way you can create some original ideas. 

CHOOSING FABRICS: 

Washable & crease resistant fabrics are easy to care for.

Solid Colors - Basic-Concert Black works best when in doubt! 

Be sure with sheers to use opaque linings underneath the bodice & skirt (avoid the “see-thru”!

• No Earrings

• No Drop-Down Pants

• or Radical Designed Jewelry, T-Shirts, etc…

Girls

• No tight fitting outfits

• No low necklines

• Skirt lengths below the Knee

• Use a unitard or leotard underneath..
